ALLY, ADVOCATE, AND ACTIVIST
Dr. Harris considers herself an ally, advocate, and activist. Psychologists have contributed to social justice movements in ways that have influenced public opinion and societal stigma, governmental policies and laws, and practices and policies within the medical and mental health fields (Nadal, 2017). Dr. Harris has over a decade of experience facilitating Intergroup Dialogues while maintaining political neutrality. She seeks to inspire, encourage, and empower others to become active in community service projects that are personally meaningful to the individual.
